Meet Ian Fuchs

Built by someone who has spent 15 years improving how work actually gets done.

Ian is a Southern Illinois–based operations and process-improvement leader with 15 years of experience helping teams fix broken workflows, improve follow-through, and make better use of the opportunities already in front of them.

His background spans healthcare operations, process improvement, business development, data, implementation, and AI-enabled workflows—but the work consistently comes back to the same practical questions: Where is value getting lost? Why does the process break? What change will the team actually use? How will we know it worked?

He founded 618 Works to bring that discipline to locally owned service businesses in Southern Illinois and the surrounding region.

Local enough to understand the context. Rigorous enough to measure the result.

How the company works

Practical principles, not consulting theater.

Diagnose before prescribing

Understand the actual workflow and recent examples before recommending tools or changes.

Use what already works

Existing technology and staff knowledge are the default starting point—not something to replace automatically.

Separate facts from estimates

Make assumptions visible, quantify conservatively, and avoid invented precision.

Design for the real team

A process only matters if the people responsible can understand, own, and consistently use it.

Measure honestly

Agree on attribution, distinguish booked from collected revenue, and document limitations.

Stay within the boundary

Operational consulting does not become clinical, legal, coverage, or other regulated advice.
